The Instituto Ling, in Porto Alegre, receives this Friday (24th), at 8 pm, the Bahian singer, songwriter and guitarist Josyara. Considered one of the highlights of the contemporary Brazilian music scene, she arrives in Porto Alegre for a free presentation in voice and guitar format.
The show’s repertoire includes songs from his most recent album, ÀdeusdarÁ, released in 2022, and his first album, Mansa Fúria, from 2018. Free admission is subject to prior registration, which can be done from 11 am on the 22nd. March on the Sympla platform.
Born in Juazeiro, the artist brings in her compositions a sensitive look at her daily life and her history, rocked by a powerful and percussive guitar. Since her first release, she has been consolidating her career with participation in important music festivals in the country, such as Coala, Rec Beat, SIM-SP, Primavera, Eu te amo!, Bananada, Dosol, BR165, among others.
In Mansa Fúria, the singer presents an approximation between the hinterland and the metropolis and her roots with contemporaneity, with voice and guitar dialoguing with electronic textures. For his work, he was nominated for Best Album of the Year by the São Paulo Association of Arts Critics and Revelation of the Year at the Multishow Award.
In ÀdeusdarÁ, Josyara proposes a meeting of percussion with electronics and presents a new face: that of a music producer. In addition to composing, singing and playing her guitar on all the songs, she also signs the arrangements and direction of the album.
The show is organized by Instituto Ling and the Secretary of State for Culture, through Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana, sponsored by Crown Embalagens and Banrisul. Guilherme Thiesen signs the curatorship and production.
