After not being able to get care for his mother, Gabriel Ferreira Campos, 34, locked the front door of a basic health unit in Mário Campos (MG) on Friday (4). There were still employees inside. The information is from Uol.
According to Gabriel, his 73-year-old mother went to the unit to treat a burn. However, after going through the triage, she received the information that she would not be able to be attended, as there was no doctor at the time.

Gabriel, who was working, found out about what had happened and when he arrived at the health center, he used a chain and a padlock to lock the front door.
After the door is locked, a woman, supposedly an employee of the gas station, appears and questions the action. “You can call the police, since yesterday there is no doctor. If there is no doctor, why is the health unit open?”, says Gabriel.
Also according to Gabriel, the Military Police were called. “The police arrived, asked me to unlock it, so we could talk, I unlocked it”. In an interview with Uol, the man said that the action was an outburst for the recurring health situation in the city.
Gabriel also ensured that the locking of the glass door did not prevent people from entering and exiting the unit. “On the side, there is a gate that gives access, you can enter and exit through the back. It was a symbolic act to draw attention to what is happening,” he told Uol.
The Uol report sought the city hall and the administration of the health post, but so far, has not received a response.
