Cooperativa Languiru, from Teutônia (RS), and Lactalis do Brasil signed a partnership to boost dairy production in Rio Grande do Sul and expand assistance to rural producers in Rio Grande do Sul. Under the agreement, Languiru will supply Lactalis, in a long-term contract, the entire volume of fresh milk from its rural producers, in a strategic region, where production is highly qualified. The partnership will guarantee payment to milk producers and transporters and will support Languiru in projects aimed at improving productivity and quality in the field, in defense of the local dairy basin.
Along the same lines, the established partnership will allow companies to work in a cooperative manner to strengthen their promotion programs: Clube do Produtor Lactalis and Agrocenters Languiru, seeking to expand technical assistance in the regions where Languiru operates.
The agreement also includes the production of dairy products by Lactalis for Languiru, optimizing industrial costs for both companies and allowing the cooperative access to greater portfolio diversification. In this restructuring, Lactalis will try to absorb as many employees as possible in its industrial dairy activities.
On the other hand, Lactalis employees in the region will have access to an agreement signed with Languiru supermarkets, pharmacies and agrocenters, strengthening the partnership ties between the companies and valuing the economy of the entire local society.
Languiru seeks repositioning
Languiru’s president, Dirceu Bayer, points out that the partnership with Lactalis is part of the cooperative’s repositioning process. The proposal is to ensure even more dynamism for field activities, collaborating to increase the efficiency and income of producers. “Our project is to ensure that Languiru continues to produce more and better. Together with Lactalis do Brasil, we are going to reinvest in our structure and ensure the longevity and strengthening of a production that is strong and consolidated in the region. United, we will work hard to recover producers and expand the cooperative’s dairy basin in its various regions of operation”, he added.
According to the CEO of Lactalis in Brazil, Roosevelt Júnior, the agreement with Languiru follows a successful model already adopted by the group in other regions of Brazil, such as the partnerships with the CCPR Cooperatives in Minas Gerais and Cativa, in Paraná. “This agreement strengthens the Rio Grande do Sul dairy basin, and all sides win. Let’s unite Languiru’s expertise in the field and the productive efficiency of Lactalis, which has been joining cooperatives in promoting dairy production in the main producing regions of Brazil. This contributes to the strategic objectives of the group in the country, which seeks to constitute responsible leadership in the market that helps in the continuous process of improving productivity and quality of milk in the field and, also, for the maintenance of strong and representative cooperatives together with rural producers. ”, he stressed.
