In Sapiranga, the Mayor Edwin Kuwer Public Library will promote on Saturday (18), the second edition of the 2023 Book Exchange Fair. It will take place during the programming of the project “In Sapiranga, Educational Sport is for All”, at Emef São Carlos, in the Amaral Ribeiro neighborhood.
“The Exchange Fair is an opportunity for readers to renew their literary collections for free. Over time, more than a thousand new titles were incorporated into the library’s collection thanks to the exchanges carried out at fairs, mainly children’s literature books”, highlighted librarian Caroline Bilhar.
The librarian also points out that the Book Exchange Fair is a time for socializing among readers provided by the library. “It constitutes a moment of socialization among readers, who can share reading tips, exchange books with each other and increase their cycle of friendships. In this way, the library seeks to become not only a space for reading, but also for coexistence and exchange of knowledge among readers of all ages”, she stressed.
Notes on the exchange:
- Books in good condition will be accepted.
- All books are subject to review.
- Textbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries and free distribution books, damaged books or books with stamps from other libraries will not be accepted.
