More than 40,000 people attended the 3rd Festa das Colheitas over the nine days of the event, 17,000 of which last weekend. The public result above the expectations of the organizers and the satisfaction of the exhibitors corroborated the consolidation of the event, which already has a new date. The fourth edition of the Festa will take place on February 28, March 1st and 2nd, March 7th to 9th and March 14th to 16th, 2025.
In the closing act, Mayor Adiló Didomenico highlighted the role of the Farmer Appreciation Party and the promotion of tourism. “The Party was popular with the public, but mainly it gave us the opportunity to value the work of the rural producer, the profession that has the longest working hours. This event becomes part of the official calendar of events. Together with the deputy mayor Paula (Ioris) we are committed to promoting Tourism, and this event is part of that”, he said.
The president of the Festa da Uva, Fernando Bertotto, who also organizes the Festa das Colheitas, praised the teamwork, including the City Hall secretariats, the Community Commission work team, sponsors, exhibitors and visitors who were fundamental for the realization of the event.
“The public was also satisfied with the gastronomy, the cultural attractions, the agroindustries, in short. That’s why I’m sure that the 2025 Party will also be a success”, projects Bertotto.
Many exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the sales. The president of the Associação dos Artesãos, which manages the Casa do Artesão de Caxias, Marlei Godoi, says that the results were as good as those of the last Grape Festival.
“Considering this is a party with fewer days, sales were great. Next time we will need more space for our artisans,” he said.
Marlei also pointed out that she was surprised by the number of visitors from out of town.
Also from outside the city, in this case from Novo Hamburgo, exhibitor Claudio Melillo, from Azeites e Cia, was exhibiting in Caxias for the first time. And he didn’t regret it.
“I intend to return to exhibit at the Festa da Uva. But I’ll be back sooner. I met some people here who invited me and next Saturday (18th) I will be at the São Pelegrino Fair”, she revealed.
Last weekend’s Saturday was marked by the Quadrilho Tournament and the Colheitas dinner-dance. Throughout the weekend, the State Meeting of Orchids was held.
This Sunday afternoon, the delegation of the Festa do Divino de Vila Seca was also in the Pavilions promoting the event. They were welcomed by Mayor Adiló, First Lady Jussara Canali, President Bertotto, and Vice Mayor Paula Ioris.
After the protocol, the Festa das Colheitas ended with an exciting presentation by the Municipal Orchestra.
