Part of the 2023 season of the Rio Grande do Sul championship, the Festa das Colheitas stage had 92 players registered, who started the matches on Saturday morning and ended them in the middle of the afternoon.
In the group, a quad fighter, Rosalina Dinani, was distinguished with a medal for her participation and as a tribute to International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8. Organized by Confraria Qua4trilho Colonial, the competition will have 11 stages throughout the year in different cities of Serra Gaúcha. The Festa das Colheitas stage was the second of the season.
Among the competitors, 20 were awarded. From 20th to 11th place received medals; from 10th to 6th, medals plus cash value; and from 5th to 1st, medals, cash value and trophies. The player with the highest score and champion of the stage was Nilson Zorzin, from the Otávio Rocha district, in Flores da Cunha. The organization distributed BRL 5,350 among the top 10 players.
The matches were held in the Parish Hall, also known as Bolicho dos Piardi, in the Parque de Eventos da Festa da Uva. Mayor Adiló Didomenico attended the opening of the games and the delivery of prizes to the winners. In closing, he commented that the quatrilho unites and enchants, being the most Italian of all games. “At the table, you need luck, but also intelligence to play well, because with each move there is a change of partner”, he highlighted.
The award was accompanied by the secretaries of Agriculture, Rudimar Menegotto; from Sport and Leisure, Gabriel Citton; and the Environment, João Uez; by the president of the Community Committee of the National Grape Festival, Fernando Bertotto; and by the president of the Autonomous Municipal Water and Sewage Service, Gilberto Meletti, who also participated in the games.
