It started in Santa Maria this Thursday (9), one of the largest rodeos in the state. With more than a thousand registered riders, the 28th edition of the International Rodeo of the Southern Cone, which is financed by the Santa Maria Culture Incentive Law (LIC-SM), opens the competitions at 7am on the first day.
The attractions will take place at the Estancia do Minuano. In addition to the lasso and horse riding competitions, the event will have shows by Comparsa Sureña, on Thursday (9); César Oliveira and Rogério Melo, on Friday (10); and Ênio Medeiros and the traditional dance, on Saturday (11). The ticket costs BRL 5 between 8am and 6pm, and BRL 10 between 6pm and 10pm. Check out the full schedule below and the list of awards.
The organization estimates that around 40,000 people will pass through Estância do Minuano in the four days of the event, in addition to approximately 4,000 people camping. Prizes range from R$1,500 to R$12,000, depending on the category, exceeding R$60,000 in total.
