The work ‘Situações Poéticas’ from the series Recordações, from 1991, authored by the artist Flávio Scholles and donated by him to stamp a special space in the tourist reception of the Belvedere to be inaugurated in the late afternoon of March 24th, within the commemorations of birthday of Morro Reuter.
The delivery was this Wednesday (8), by the artist himself to Mayor Carla Chamorro and Vice Mayor Airton Bohn at Atelier Flávio Scholles, in São José do Herval. If on one side of the studio you can see Caxias do Sul and Bento Gonçalves and on the other, you have Porto Alegre, at its heart is a unique art space for the artist that translates his village into brushstrokes with soul and a sociological vision of the world.
The mayor thanked the artist for the donation and spoke of the importance of his art for Morro Reuter and the world. ‘Flávio is one of our artists who portrays the daily life and soul of the local people very well. Having one of his works at the entrance to the municipality, which is the Belvedere tourist center, just fills us with pride’, he said.
The original work, measuring 1.30 meters by 1.90 meters, will be in the city hall building and a high quality print will be made for the receptive. According to the artist, the work is influenced by the Franco-Russian surrealist artist Marc Chagall and portrays the daily life of Morro Reuter. Family, farmers, half-timbered house, chickens, milk pots, church, books and the hills appear in the sensitive work.
