Esteio holds the first edition of the Itinerant Producer’s Fair on Sunday (12th), from 4 pm to 7 pm, at Praça dos Emancipacionistas – Bairro Olímpica. The City Hall’s initiative will take horticultural products, handicrafts and colonial products or those from individual producers to be displayed – and sold – in different public spaces in the city, once a month, complementing the traditional fairs that take place in five points and providing space for other stallholders to participate in.
Galvany Guedes Park, in the Jardim Planalto neighborhood, and Coração de Maria square, in the Center, Verdes Campos square, in the Três Marias neighborhood, and Luiz Carlos Prestes Ramos square, in the Novo Esteio neighborhood, should also receive editions of the Itinerant Producer Fair. The Municipal Secretariat for Economic Development and the Environment (SMDEMA), responsible for coordinating the project, is organizing the next events and should publish the calendar soon.
Traditional in five spaces
Esteio has five producer fairs held in the neighborhoods of Novo Esteio, São Sebastião, Tamandaré, Santo Inácio and Centro. The stalls sell horticultural products, colonial products, breads, cakes, homemade sweets, cucas, sausages, acarajé, pastry, sugar cane juice, coffee, mate, cereals, natural products and handcrafted products from the “Productive Inclusion” project of SMDEMA, between others.
