This Saturday (4th) Carlos Barbosa will host another cycling event in the Night Speed modality. According to the Municipal Secretary of Sports, Leisure and Youth, the race takes place on Avenida Raul Giacomoni, in Desvio Machado.
The traditional high-speed competition, entitled “DM Reis Clássica Noturna”, will start at 4 pm, ending around 10:30 pm.
With a record number of registrations, this year, 311 athletes will travel the circuits on safe and well-lit paths, in a dispute valid for the second stage of the Gaucho Road Cycling Championship.
The test will be divided into four heats, namely:
First heat – Start at 4:15 pm
Male Rookie: 50min + 1 lap
Youth: 50min + 1 lap
Junior Female: 40min + 1 lap
Master C1: 50min + 1 time
Para-cycling H: 30min + 1 time
Para-cycling C: 30min + 1 time
Women’s Paracycling: 30min + 1 volta
Second heat – Start at 5:20 pm
Master A2: 80min + 1volt
Master B2: 70min + 1volt
Female Infant: 30min + 1 lap
Infant A and B: 30min + 1 time
Feminino Master C: 30min + 1 time
Feminino Open: 50min + 1 time
Third heat – Start at 7pm
Master B1: 70min + 1 time
Master C2: 60min + 1 volta
Master D1: 50min + 1 time
Master D2: 50min + 1 volta
Male Open: 50min + 1 time
Female Master A: 70min + 1 lap
Feminino Master B: 60min + 1volta
Fourth heat – Start at 20:30
Elite/Sub 23: 120min + 1 volta
Sub 30: 100min + 1 time
Feminino Elite: 90min + 1 time
Junior: 90min + 1 lap
Master A1: 80min + 1 time
Rookie Female: 50min + 1 lap
Junior Female: 60min + 1 lap
In addition to these four circuits that will be held, there will be the Sprinta challenge, which will reward the male and female athlete who complete the fastest lap.
The delivery of chips and numbers will be held from 3 pm for athletes in the first heat and from 4 pm for the others.
