Minas do Leão launches electronics disposal campaign this Saturday (4) - Revista News

This Saturday (4th), residents of Minas do Leão will have the opportunity to properly dispose of their electronic objects. The municipal government and ABREE – Brazilian Association for the Recycling of Electronics and Home Appliances carry out the action from 8 am to 5 pm, with the collection point located at Praça Ari Luz. The objective is to raise awareness and inform consumers about the importance of correct disposal of electronic waste.

For those interested in the campaign, it is recommended to collect all equipment that will be discarded and that no longer works or is obsolete at home. After that, take it to the place of action.

In addition to the collection point, the Municipal Department of Agriculture and the Environment will provide a truck that will pass through all neighborhoods to carry out the collection with residents who were unable to go to the square. This action has been taking place in the municipality since the beginning of the year with collection points in all schools in the city.

Currently, ABREE has 676 collection points spread across the state of Rio Grande do Sul, 01 of which is in the municipality of Minas do Leão (RS). These actions and services available to the population contribute directly to the environment, as they have the potential to reduce pollution and harmful gas emissions in the seas, rivers and roads.

ABREE, together with its partners, has more than 5,000 collection points throughout the country, and is present in almost 1,400 Brazilian municipalities. As a management entity, it contributes to the goals established in Federal Decree 10,240/20, providing legal assistance and disposing of 100% of electronic products and appliances discarded by consumers.
