On Monday (27), Taurus Armas formally delivered 9,544 units of the Taurus TS9 Striker pistol, caliber 9mm, to the Philippine National Police (PNP) and its commander, General Rodolfo Azurin.
The event was attended by the organization’s top 25 ranked officials, in addition to other officials and the PNP’s internal division responsible for media and press.
In December 2022, the PNP approved two large batches of TS9 Striker pistols, from the contract signed with Taurus. The weapons were successfully submitted to rigorous acceptance tests for a week, by a delegation of 12 members of the PNP at the Taurus factory, in São Leopoldo. The samples were fully approved, surpassing the requirements of the NATO AC-225 Standard, proving the quality, reliability and resistance of the TS9 Striker pistol.
The Brazilian manufacturer has been successful and expanding the participation of its products in this rigorous and promising market. In 2021, it supplied over 13,000 T4 rifles to the Armed Forces of the Philippines. And in the last three years, it has already sold approximately 30,000 units of the TS9 Striker pistol for the Philippine Police Forces, in addition to having won several other bids in the world, demonstrating the stability, reliability and quality of its products on the world stage.
Taurus also provided a training and familiarization course for officers of the Philippine corps, conducted by General Carlos, former Commander-in-Chief of the National Police of the Philippines.
