As of this Wednesday, March 1st, the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) in Garibaldi will be managed by the Fire Department. The formalization of the partnership takes place at the Mayor’s Office, starting at 9 am, and the bill authorizing the change was recently approved by the City Council. Previously, the service had been provided by the Hospital Beneficente São Pedro.
Mayor Sérgio Chesini points out that all the City Hall’s work has the purpose of always continuing to qualify services to Garibaldenses. “This partnership will speed up the service, since, if necessary, in addition to the Samu, the firefighters’ vehicle will also be made available at the same time”, he clarifies.
Chesini is also grateful for the partnership with Hospital Beneficente São Pedro and for the services provided to the community through SAMU. “Our administration has been constantly working for an inclusive and excellent health”, he adds.
The Secretary of Health, Clarisse Lagunaz, clarifies that the service remains the same, with the same contact number, and remembers that there will be no additional expenses for the service. The amounts to be transferred by the municipality will remain the same.
