The first edition of Pet Weekend is one of the summer attractions at Jardim da Serra Gaúcha, in Nova Petrópolis, next weekend. The free program related to the pet segment takes place on the afternoons of Saturday, March 4th, and Sunday, March 5th, at Rua Coberta. The event is held by Oh My Dog Pet Shop, in partnership with the Department of Tourism, Industry and Commerce.
Among the attractions of the 1st Pet Weekend is the Pet Dressing Room, offering decorations for the photo contest and the parade that will take place during the event. There will also be chats and workshops related to pet care, distribution of informational materials and a grooming demonstration activity. The pet parade will take place in Praça das Flores at 5 pm on Sunday, closing the program.
According to the Secretary of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Nova Petrópolis has been consolidating itself as a “pet friendly” destination, through a series of actions aimed at this segment. “We have already carried out several visitation rounds with pet influencers, reinforcing the many pet friendly tourist attractions and establishments that we have in Nova Petrópolis. And in 2022, during the Spring Festival, we held the 1st Pet Day, which gathered a large audience in Praça das Flores”, he says.
