The inspection of Procon de São Leopoldo verified the prices of regular gasoline at fuel stations in the municipality this Tuesday, February 28th. According to the director of Procon-SL, Neusa Azevedo, the action is integrated with the monthly survey and is carried out within a scenario with new definitions that the federal government is designing for the sector.
The director of Procon-SL emphasizes that the surveys and actions with the gas stations are important for guaranteeing the rights of consumers. “With these data, we seek to verify the variations in case there is any determination by the federal government to return the collection of taxes on fuels. Our goal is to curb opportunistic behavior and avoid unjustified increases and the charging of abusive prices”, she points out.
Neusa Azevedo states that the fuel prices are still a consequence of the policy implemented by the Bolsonaro government. “We still suffer from Petrobras’ disastrous pricing policy, inherited from the Bolsonaro government, and its obstacles have been a matter of concern for the current government in its search for a structural solution. Brazilian society needs Petrobras to return to serving the interests of the country and its people and not the internal and external speculative market”, he emphasizes.
