Esteio holds on Wednesday (1st), the 3rd Municipal Conference of Peoples of Terreiro de Matriz Africana. Under the coordination of the Municipal Department of Citizenship and Human Rights (SMCDH) and the Irmãos de Axé Community, the free event takes place in the Noble Hall of Esteio City Hall (Rua Eng. Hener de Souza Nunes, 150), at 5:30 pm with the theme “Rights Humans, Democracy and Decolonization: contributions from the African and Afro-Umbandist Tradition”.
The activity aims to contribute to the construction and strengthening of the municipal policy of the Povos de Terreiro, constituting itself as an elective stage for the 2nd State Conference of the Povos de Terreiro do Rio Grande do Sul.

The debates will be divided into three axes: the state of the debate on Civilizing Justice and new challenges for the recognition of different civilization matrices; the paradigms of Afrocentricity and Ethnodevelopment in the construction of transversal public policies in different areas; and the Tradition of African Matrix and Afro-Umbanda in the face of democracy.
