Numbers had not been updated during Carnival; total deaths from the disease in the country since the beginning of the pandemic reached 698,381
Brazil recorded, in the last 24 hours, 334 deaths from Covid and 9,646 new cases, informed the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) this Wednesday (22).
The data, however, were not updated by the council’s website during the days of Carnival (February 18th to 21st) and were only computed again today.
With the update, the number of fatalities from the disease in the country since the beginning of the pandemic reached 698,381, and the total number of cases increased to 36,997,328.
