São Leopoldo will give a preview of its 2023 Carnival with Terreirão do Samba this Saturday (25). The carnival entities will perform on February 25 at the samba school Império do Sol, located at Rua São Domingos, 427, São Miguel neighborhood. The school show starts at 21:00 with free access.
“We came in a growing number of actions and events organized in partnership with the samba schools free of charge for the population. This year Carnival becomes an annual, cultural, social and educational project, with events, a seminar, an official parade and samba workshops”, highlights the acting secretary of Culture and International Relations, Luísa Gonçalves.
The presentations follow the order of the Carnival parade: Império do Sol, Academicos Verde e Rosa, Estação Primeira de São Léo, Imperadores do Sul and Leões da Feitoria.
The schools will also have a food court with the aim of converting into income for the parade, scheduled for March 11 at Passarela do Samba (Dom João Becker avenue, downtown).
