On the 3rd of March, the Ministry of Health will interrupt the daily dissemination of data on Covid-19 in Brazil, starting on the 7th of March.
The bulletin released by the folder brings statistics on cases, deaths and vaccination against the disease. The Ministry of Health considered some issues when judging that the new format was necessary, among them, the fact that only nine states update the data daily.
Also according to the folder, another 18 states do not report cases and deaths from the disease on weekends, and of these, three report the information only once a week.
– The data reported daily do not allow epidemiological analysis, as requested by society and control bodies – said the ministry.
Éder Gatti, director of Immunizations at the Ministry of Health, presented the change this Thursday (16) during a meeting of the Tripartite Interagency Commission (CIT). Representatives of the federal government, as well as states and municipalities, approved the change.
All states and the Federal District must send the information in the systems on Mondays and Tuesdays.
