Netfive, a company focused on information security (IS) and IT services, is launching the second edition of the unprecedented survey “IS4all – Information Security for All”, which aims to assess the knowledge of Rio Grande do Sul citizens on the subject. This year, in addition to employee data from more than 20 companies from different segments, the survey is also open to the general public. Through the campaign website, it is possible to answer the anonymous questionnaire with questions related to data protection and IS.
“When we talk about information security, the human factor is decisive. Therefore, it is essential to bring the issue of data protection into people’s day-to-day attitudes and, consequently, into other areas of their lives, such as the work environment. This is our objective with the survey”, explains Henrique Schneider, CEO of Netfive.
Previous data worry
In the first edition of the survey, launched in 2022, data showed that 70% of Rio Grande do Sul consider themselves to have intermediate knowledge about information security. On the other hand, the study also pointed out that more than 30% write down passwords on their cell phones and in notebooks – practices considered dangerous for data security.
The survey also brought one more worrying data with regard to passwords: 25% of respondents share passwords with co-workers, family members and friends. Another survey data also indicates that 65% of people use or have already used the same password on various platforms and applications.
