A man was arrested by the Municipal Guard of Imbé (GMI), in the early hours of this Tuesday (14), for a traffic crime. The case began in the Albatroz resort and ended in Santa Terezinha after the suspect was chased.
The GMI vehicle spotted the individual standing on his motorcycle, at a point known to be used for drug trafficking. According to the agents, upon realizing the arrival of the team, the man left on his motorcycle performing risky maneuvers. He ignored the stop orders and sped off down Trave 2.
The vehicle followed for about 4 km, and on this journey the individual disrespected several traffic laws, putting lives at risk. On the way he also discarded objects that were in his possession.
The pursuit came to an end when the man abandoned his motorcycle and entered a residence located on Rua Alderador Beto Caçapa, next to Parque Municipal de Eventos, in the Santa Terezinha resort. The garrison entered the courtyard in search of the individual, who again disobeyed parade orders, and was finally surrendered at the back of the property.
The 24-year-old author was visibly altered and was even contained with the use of handcuffs. The agents found that the suspect had not driving license and that the motorcycle driven by him had expired licensing. A small bag with cash notes and a cell phone, which was with him, was seized.
The author was taken to the 24-Hour Health Polyclinic for a medical examination and, subsequently, to the Imbé Police Station. During the journey, the man also threw several kicks inside the car.
Already at the DP, an incident report was drawn up against the man for driving without a license, causing danger of damage, as provided for in article 390 of the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB).
