Larissa Rodrigues started another year at a great level. The Recreio da Juventude athlete won three gold medals at the Brazilian Paralympic Swimming under-20, played last weekend at the Paralympic Training Center, in São Paulo-SP.
Of the five events she participated in the competition, Larissa won gold in three of them: 200m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 150m medley. The performance of the Recreio da Juventude swimmer was so impressive that, alone, she managed to place the Club in fourth place in the classification of the lower classes of Paralympic swimming (S1, S2, S3, S4 and S5).
In addition to the awards in the competition, the Brazilian sub-20 served for Lari to seek evolution in his times. The goal of the year for the athlete is to guarantee a place in the Paralympic Swimming World Championship, in Manchester, England, in July, as well as in the Parapan American Games, in Santiago, Chile, in November. The necessary index to guarantee the summons for the two competitions has not yet been disclosed.
In the evaluation of coach Daniela Gonzalez, Larissa’s participation in the competition was important for the swimmer’s evolution towards the marks intended for the season: “Larissa managed to lower some of her marks, which meant that she was able to reach last year’s indexes , which creates a great perspective that he can be at the World Cup, in England.”
Larissa’s next competition is the Open International Paralympic Swimming, in April, again at CT Paralímpico, in São Paulo. The expectation is for even more evolution of the Recreio da Juventude athlete.
