Pelotas Carnival 2023 will take place on the 24th, 25th and 26th of February at Rua Conde de Porto Alegre. Tickets are on sale, from Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 6 pm, at Room 18 of the Central Market, with access from Rua Tiradentes. The individual ticket costs BRL 13.00 per night and the passport costs BRL 28.00 for three nights.

The Association of Carnival Entities of Pelotas (Assecap) is still studying the possibility of itinerant and online ticket sales, according to demand.
In January, Assecap sent a document to the City Hall requesting authorization for a portion of the financial contribution to be used to hire the necessary structure for the event. The entities agreed to transfer part of the value to assemble the structures. The transfer made by the Public Power to carry out the Carnival was R$ 350 thousand, divided into three installments, with the first payment in December 2022.
Bands and Blocks Contest
After three years without revelry, the burlesque blocks and carnival bands will hold their contests. The burlesques open the first night of the events on the samba catwalk, on Friday (24th), starting at 9 pm, with five official parades and two participations. On Saturday (25), it’s the turn of the bands and the revelry starts at 4 pm. On that day, the program has four special appearances and seven parades.
The counting of votes will take place on Sunday (26) at 1 pm. On the same day, there will be a special participation of four carnival entities on the catwalk, which will also feature the parade of the first three champion bands of Carnival 2023 and the awarding of burlesque blocks.
Night of Champions
Special Group schools will not parade in February. The so-called Night of Champions, name chosen in honor of the entities participating in the event, will take place on March 18, on Avenida Bento Gonçalves, with the participation of the samba schools Academia do Samba, General Telles and Unidos do Fragata, in addition to the two junior schools, Ramirinho and Mocidade do Simões, which will present their shows in a reduced format, due to budget adequacy.
