Petrobras announced today (7th) that the price of diesel at distributors will be reduced by R$ 0.40 starting tomorrow (8th). In percentage terms, the reduction is 8.8%.
With the price variation, the value of a liter of diesel purchased by distributors, called diesel A, will drop from R$ 4.50 to R$ 4.10, according to Petrobras.
The diesel purchased by drivers at gas stations is the result of a mixture of 90% of this diesel A, sold by Petrobras, with 10% of biodiesel.
The company estimates that the portion of the price charged by it in the final amount paid by drivers will be R$ 3.69 per liter.
The sale value to distributors has as its main guideline the search for Petrobras’ price balance in the national and international markets, argues the state-owned company.
“The company, when setting prices for oil and natural gas derivatives in the domestic market, seeks to avoid passing on the situational volatility of quotations and the exchange rate, while preserving a healthy competitive environment under the terms of current legislation”, he concluded.
