The 2023 Festa das Colheitas poster was presented to the community this Monday morning (06.02) at a meeting with the press and authorities, at the Pavilhão da Festa da Uva. With the motto “Come celebrate the fruits of our dedication”, the piece exalts the work of rural producers, with emphasis on the female figure, in addition to illustrating the wide variety of horticultural products grown in Caxias do Sul.
“It invites us to celebrate the work of our producer in all locations in our interior, production and what moves our economy”, added the president of the Festa da Uva, which also organizes the Feast of HarvestsFernando Bertotto.
Mayor Adiló Didomenico highlighted the great expectations of the entire municipality for the celebration.
“It’s a long-awaited party, because the previous one was interrupted by the pandemic. We want to make a great event, with all the conditions. We intend to make it a permanent festival in the municipality’s calendar, held every two years, interspersed with the Grape Festival”, he assured.
The Festa das Colheitas takes place from February 24th to 26th, March 3rd to 5th and March 10th to 12th, 2023, at the Festa da Uva Events Center. The entrance portico and the Replicas will also have attractions during the nine days of the Festival.
The secretary of Agriculture, Rudimar Menegotto, says that the community has a lot to celebrate.
“Today we have the title of largest producer of fruit and vegetables in the state. We did a survey and sold to 18 states”. Says Rudimar Menegotto.
Among the attractions are the districts, the wineries and the family agribusiness, which will be selling typical local products. In terms of gastronomy, there are several establishments with varied options, in addition to the traditional dish of brustolada polenta, salami and cheese, similar to what was served at the last Grape Festival. A portion of the amount collected with the typical dish – 15% – will be reverted to FAS.
The Festival also features recreation for children, cultural attractions and a multi-sector fair. A novelty in this edition is the exhibition of orchids. On the first two weekends there will be an exhibition and sale of flowers, and on the last one the State Meeting of Orchids will also be held for the first time in Caxias.
Nor could the Amusement Park be missing during the Festival, which this year has something new. Although the Festival takes place from Friday to Sunday, the park opens on the 24th and remains open all week, with the exception of Mondays. The Park will be located at the entrance to the Pavilions, next to the parking lot.
It is important to highlight that the Festa das Colheitas does not charge admission, admission is free. There will be a charge for parking, as it is a concession.
The official opening of the Festa das Colheitas will be held together with the 14th Opening of the Harvests, on February 24, at 4 pm, in Terceira Légua, in an event for guests.
Also present at the presentation of the poster were the deputy mayor, Paula Ioris, the queen of Festa da Uva 2022, Pricila Zanol, the mayor and vice president of Festa da Uva, Zé Dambrós, secretaries and councilors.
