The Civil Defense of Gravataí follows the emergency work carried out by Corsan in the Treatment Station (ETA) Cavalhada, to resume the water supply in 50 districts of the municipality – reaching around 100 thousand people – scheduled to take place this Saturday morning, 4/02.
A structure broke during the early hours of Friday, the 3rd, flooding the pump room and forcing the system to shut down.
The Civil Defense coordinator of Gravataí, Josué Alves Pacheco, was at ETA, this Friday morning. “A team is welding a barrel (hydraulic set of pipes) that has failed. After completing the service, the system must be turned on again, as the company assured us”, explains Pacheco.
In a note, Corsan stated that the repairs are in the final phase. According to Corsan’s local management, regions higher and farther from the ETA will still feel reflections such as oscillation and low pressure during the weekend. To reduce these impacts, locations such as Morro do Coco and Cohab C will be reinforced by water trucks.
According to Corsan, the most affected neighborhoods in the municipality are: Centro, Rincão da Madalena, Industrial District, Cohab C, Morro do Coco, São Geraldo, Salgado Filho, Vila Jansen, São Vicente, União, Dom Feliciano, Guaianuba, Alphaville , Neópolis, Pôr Do Sol, Rosa Maria, Morungava, Natal, Santa Cruz, Vila Nara, Conceição, Búzios, Passo das Pedras, Parque Ely, Parque do Lago, Auxiliadora and Nova Esperança.
The company makes available the telephone number 0800.646.6444, the website (www.servicos.corsan.com.br) and the corsan smartphone app.
