The advice of the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights reported this Wednesday (12) that Minister Damares Alves, holder of the portfolio, tested positive for covid-19 after showing mild symptoms of the disease. The test result was released on Monday (10), according to the report. 
According to the folder, the minister “is doing well” and has been in isolation since the last week. Damares Alves has already taken two doses of the Pfizer vaccine against covid-19 and will undergo a new virus detection test after fulfilling the quarantine.
In addition to Damares, 14 other members of the first echelon of the federal government have already contracted the disease: Tarcísio de Freitas (Infrastructure), Marcelo Queiroga (Health), Tereza Cristina (Agriculture), Bruno Bianco (AGU), Fábio Faria (Communications), Braga Netto (Casa Civil), Wagner Rosário (General Controllership of the Union), Marcos Pontes (Science, Technology and Innovations), Onyx Lorenzoni (Labor and Pensions), Milton Ribeiro (Education), Luiz Eduardo Ramos (General Secretary), Augusto Heleno (Institutional Security Office), Bento Albuquerque (Mines and Energy) and Roberto Campos Neto (Central Bank).
President Jair Bolsonaro and First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro have also contracted the disease.
