The Torres Colors Carnival will take place on the 18th and 20th of February, starting at 8 pm, concentrated on Avenida Beira Mar in front of Praça Claudino Nunes Pereira. A place already known by revelers and which for many years was the scene of the carnival party. Dj and band will rock the revelry and the blocks tuned in the same frequency will play the party songs.
Big carnival blocks and City Hall are organizing themselves to hold a beautiful party together. The expectation is that more than 5,000 people will acquire their abadás next to the blocks and will add to the revelers who will crowd the seaside of Torres.
Blocks
The blocks interested in participating in the party will have January 31st to February 10th to file the registration form at the reception, on the ground floor of the City Hall. It must be picked up at the Culture Office on the 3rd floor.
In the registration form, the coordinators will receive the general rules of the event. A structure will be set up on Avenida Beira Mar where the DJ and band will play and the cars from the blocks will be arranged in front along the avenue.
On the 18th and 20th of February, the streets around the event, near Avenida Beira Mar, will be blocked for Carnival. They are José Antonio Picoral, Judge Vieira Pires and Almirante Barroso. For the days of the event, the blocks registered and with authorization will have from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm to position themselves along the avenue, according to the place that will be established, and the start of Carnival will be at 8:00 pm.
The tents of the Military Brigade, the Department of Health and the Tutelary Council will be set up next to Praça Claudino Nunes Pereira.
Warm up
On the 11th of February, in Prainha, the Secretariat for Culture and Sport will promote the Warm Up of the Carnival of Colors, from 6 pm to 10 pm, with the Torres blocks and lots of entertainment.
