The Municipal Secretary of Sport and Leisure (Smel) of Canoas is going to carry out the screening for the Olympic and Paralympic athletics team of the Athlete Citizen of the Future Program (ACF), next Tuesday (31st), at 9am and 2:30pm, category from 9 to 22 years. The evaluation and screening take place at the Sports and Leisure Center Estação Cidadania (Av. Rio Grande do Sul, 3320 – Mathias Velho).
Those who already participate in the ACF Canoas program and also those who wish to enter can participate in the evaluation and screening. The parasport athletics team is aimed at people with intellectual, visual and physical disabilities. The objective of the sieve is to form new performance teams. Those who are not selected to join the teams can participate in systematic classes.
Athletics
It is a sport that encompasses a series of sports such as racing, jumping and throwing. The athletics events can be disputed in the field, in the street on a stadium track, individually or by relay of athletes.
