This Saturday (28) takes place another edition of ‘Cine Azul’ at the Cinesystem at Praça Rio Grande Shopping. The project opens movie theaters to viewers with sensory sensitivities, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and People with Disabilities (PwD’s)in monthly sessions that bring a lot of love to Praça Shopping.
The inclusive session of the animation “Chef Jack – the adventurous cook” will take place at 2 pm. The value will be half price for the Person with Disability / Autistic Spectrum Disorder and for a companion, following Decree nº 8.537/2015, articles 1 and 2, III and IV.
The ‘Cine Azul’ project, by the Cinesystem cinema chain, holds monthly adapted movie sessions for people with sensory sensitivities, adapting sounds, movements and lights, allowing them to have unforgettable moments of fun with the family.
The film will be presented in a special way, with a dubbed session and 100% accessible, in a movie theater prepared to welcome everyone in a cozy way, with regulated lighting, ambient temperature and lower sound. During the session, children will have free movement, feeling free to walk, talk, dance and sing during the movie.
A partner of the ‘Cine Azul’ project since 2019, Praça Rio Grande Shopping develops the ‘Projeto Praça Inclusivo’, which provides means of valuing, social inclusion and recognition of People with Disabilities (PwD’s) in the mall’s environment.
Blue House – AMAR
The flagship of the ‘Inclusive Square Project’ is Casa Azul, headquarters of AMAR – Association of Parents and Friends of Autistic People in Rio Grande. Located in Praça Shopping since 2021, the social assistance entity serves as a reference for families diagnosed with ASD – Autistic Spectrum Disorder, offering welcome and referral to the necessary treatments, such as psychologists and neurologists.
AMAR serves families with ASD in all age groups, and many in vulnerable situations. The reception is carried out by social workers with techniques to assist families who suspect or have received a diagnosis of the autistic spectrum.
