In the agenda for the meeting, the holding of the Bilateral Business Dialogue seminar, which included businessmen from the Argentine Industrial Union and the Brazilian group, at the headquarters of the Argentine business entity, and a meeting of representatives of the private sector with the presidents of Brazil and Argentina, Luis Inácio Lula da Silva and Alberto Fernandez, at the Casa Rosada Bicentennial Museum.
Before attending the mission’s closing dinner, offered by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), on Monday night (23), Mauro Bellini made an assessment of the mission:
“We are accompanying, representing CIC Caxias in the delegation, and the climate is really one of optimism among the presidents. They are well aligned, and the idea would be the possibility of revitalizing Mercosur, since it was seen with the pandemic, with the war in Ukraine, which relying on supply chains from afar does not work, or can present many problems.
So, everyone is optimistic, both businessmen on one side and on the other. There are difficulties in both countries, mainly in Argentina, but the idea is to start working to overcome these difficulties and manage to increase commercial exchange between Brazil–Rio Grande do Sul–Caxias and Argentina, always remembering that commercial exchange between Brazil and Argentina is Of Quality. Argentina is Brazil’s third largest trading partner and, in most cases, for products with high added value. So, the sentiment of the business community is positive.”
For the president of CIC CaxiasCelestino Oscar Loro, Mauro Bellini’s participation in the Brazilian mission in Buenos Aires is of great value to the entity and its associated companies.
