The municipalities that obtained the status are Arroio do Padre, Dois Irmãos das Missões, Erval Seco, Iraí, Jaboticaba, Jacutinga, Nova Palma, Pedras Altas, São José das Missões, São José do Norte and Seberi.
Also this Tuesday, six other cities in Bahia, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Paraná and Rio de Janeiro also obtained federal recognition of an emergency situation.
How to request federal funds for Civil Defense actions
Cities in an emergency situation or state of public calamity recognized by the National Civil Defense are able to request resources from the Ministry of Regional Development (MDR) to assist the affected population.
Actions involve relief, assistance to victims, restoration of essential services and reconstruction of destroyed or damaged infrastructure. The request must be made through the Integrated Disaster Information System (S2iD).
