The Municipality of Amparo, in the interior of São Paulo, published, this Thursday (6) a new decree that again determines the closing of bars and restaurants from 11 pm to reduce the spread of Covid-19. The measures must be adopted between the 7th and 31st of January. According to the municipal administration, there are 194 people in the city with Covid-19 and undergoing treatment. The number is 1,112.50% higher than the previous week.

Decree number 6,440 prohibits activities that promote agglomeration. The holding of parties, events and get-togethers in public and private spaces for collective use, with or without access to the public, cannot take place.
According to the city hall, on the 7th, 8th and 9th there will be an exception for events held in buffets, with the need to comply with all health recommendations and without spaces for agglomerations on dance floors or clubs. The decree also prohibits agglomerations in residential properties of people who are not part of the family nucleus.
In the city, the consumption of alcoholic beverages after 23:00 is also prohibited. Commercial activities with face-to-face service will only be allowed until 11 pm. Consumers are only allowed to enter until 10pm.
The decree stipulates a fine of R$ 1,500 for people who are consuming alcoholic beverages after 11 pm in a public area. The rule also prohibits the rental of properties for season, summer, events, parties and agglomerations in properties of people who do not belong to the same family. The fines are BRL 6,000 for the owner and BRL 3,000 for the lessee.
The Special Committee to Combat Covid-19 also stated that it may decide on new measures if there is a significant increase in hospital occupation (ward and ICU) in the city of Amparo.
