Torres prepares a special program in honor of the Day of Our Lady of the Navigators on Thursday, February 2nd. The event has the support of the Municipality of Torres, through the Secretary of Culture and Sport.
At 2:30 pm there is a procession with cars, leaving Santa Luzia Church to the banks of the Mampituba river. Then, at 3 pm, the procession left by boat on the river. At 4 pm, from Mampituba, a motorized procession will leave for Praça Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes, in Praia da Cal, where the blessings of the cars will take place.
From Praça de Navegantes, devotees head to Prainha, where at 5 pm a mass takes place in Praça Borges de Medeiros in honor of Our Lady.
