The Bota-Fora project, promoted by the Municipal Department of Urban Cleaning (DMLU), performs the service in ten communities on Tuesday (17), Wednesday (18) and Friday (20). The action takes place from 8 am.
The initiative arose from similar actions carried out sporadically by DMLU and has become a permanent activity, which aims to help the population to dispose of waste that is not collected by regular collections. Appliances, broken furniture, mattresses, among other bulky objects can be delivered.
The recommendation to the residents of the places served is that the materials be made available in front of the residences the night before, or until 7:30 am on the day on which the Bota-Fora takes place. The service is publicized through posters placed in health units, markets, schools, bars and neighborhood associations.
The DMLU is part of the Municipal Department of Urban Services (SMSUrb).
