Ducks, teals, a couple of geese and birds embellish Praça Dário Haupenthal square in Estância Velha, a beautiful municipality in Vale do Sinos, in Rio Grande do Sul. In early December, the square received fifteen new birds. However, in recent days, some of these residents of the square have been robbed, including some who have recently arrived.
The last case happened during this week, where a goose was taken at night, leaving the female alone in the place. The act saddens the entire community, as attacking defenseless animals is cruelty and must be punished with the rigor of the law.
One of the busiest meeting points in Estância Velha is Praça Dário Haupenthal. Being constantly embellished and with future projects to make the place even more cozy, the place is always a meeting point for people from Estancia for a mate on the weekend or for the contact of children with the animals that live in the place.
The Municipal Prefecture of Estância Velha asks that, if anyone has information or is aware of anything suspicious, contact the Municipal Guard immediately by phone 153.
