The State Foundation for Environmental Protection (Fepam) released, this Friday (13), another bulletin from the Balneability program for the 2022/2023 season. This week’s analyzes did not change in relation to the previous one, maintaining the improper points:
Saint Jerome – Praia do Encontro – Rio Jacuí
Tapes – Rebelo Spa – Patos Lagoon
Thus, of the total of 90 points monitored in 43 municipalities, 88 are bathable and vacationers can enter the water without problems. To check the complete table of the locations analyzed, click on here.
Balneability is part of the State Government’s RS Verão Total project. Water analysis data will always be released on Fridays, on Fepam’s website and social media, until February 24, 2023.
Proper or inappropriate location notices are highlighted on information boards placed at the water collection and analysis points. The inappropriate warning means that people should avoid bathing in that location. When the plate has its own seal, the bath is released. Vacationers can also consult the analysis results in the Bathing System web application.
In addition to the collections and analyzes carried out by the Fepam laboratory in partnership with the Regional team in the resorts on the North Coast, the Autonomous Sanitation Service of Pelotas (Sanep) performs the analyzes and collections in the resorts on Laranjal beach and the Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (Corsan), in the other spas contemplated by the program.
Recommendations for vacationers
- Enter the water only in a place suitable for bathing.
- Avoid bathing in the rainy season, in the first 24 hours after heavy rain or when rivers are full.
- Do not bathe in places with a concentration of algae.
