The Procon of São Leopoldo released the price survey of the basic food basket for the first month of 2023. The lowest total value found was R$689.97, which means an increase of 0.76% compared to the month of December.
The items that suffered the most increase in their price were: The 500g pack of coffee with 37%, the 400g pack of biscuits with 35% increase and the liter of bleach which rose 28%.
Among the products that showed cost reductions, soap bars stand out, with a 21% drop in value, and kg of salt, which dropped 13%. The survey was carried out based on 27 items related to food, personal hygiene and cleaning, in a minimum quantity for family consumption.
