The Civil Police, through the 3rd DIN/DENARC, at the end of the night of last Wednesday (11), after an investigation, located a warehouse with a large amount of drugs belonging to a criminal organization based in Vale dos Sinos and distributes narcotics. throughout the metropolitan region.
According to Delegate Gabriel Borges, the investigation began a few days ago, within the scope of the so-called Operation Sial, after receiving complaints about a criminal group’s drug warehouse located in a public area in front of the Sapucaia do Sul Zoo.
The ongoing investigations in that region already indicated that the location is strategic for the criminal organization’s drug logistics, since it is on the banks of the BR 116, between Vale do Sinos and Porto Alegre, allowing the storage of a large amount of drugs. to be transported, quickly and on demand, to various distribution locations.
There have even been recent clashes between criminals in the region seeking to dominate and consolidate the logistical point, demonstrating its importance for the criminal faction.
On the night of the events, using technological investigation tools, the police team was able to locate the exact point where the drugs were stored, appearing to be an abandoned hut.
At the scene, the police seized 175 kg of marijuana in units ready for sale in distribution.
The owner of the drug has already been identified and, in the next few days, his arrest will be requested from the Judiciary.
