During the last week, which comprises the period from January 2 to 9, the Municipal Guard (GM) recorded 430 approaches to the Caxias do Sul dams. Of that total, 300 were made on Saturday alone.
The number already exceeds that recorded between the beginning of the 16th Safe Summer Operation, on December 6, 2022, until the beginning of last week, when there were 378 guidelines. The total is now 808 people approached within the preservation areas.
GM also reported that vandals placed stones and nails at the entrance to the Dal Bó dam to make it difficult for vehicles carrying out patrols to access.
Aiming to prevent drowning and supervise activities such as hunting and fishing, which are also prohibited, this edition has intensified the patrols, mainly in Complexo Dal Bó (Fátima) and Maestra (Santa Fé), places most sought after by people.
