The federal government will have to provide information about the act that determined the holding of public consultation for vaccination against Covid-19 in children aged between 5 and 11 years. The determination is made by minister Carmen Lúcia, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), who established a period of five days for the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, and the Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, to manifest themselves.
The decision responds to the Allegation of Non-Compliance with Fundamental Precept (ADPF) 929, in which the National Confederation of Metallurgical Workers (CNTM) questions the intention of the consultation, stating that the Executive intends to “defer the imposition of vaccine on the population between 5 and 11 years old under the pretext of wanting to listen to the population”.
