Europe is the region responsible for more than half of the cases registered yesterday, with the equivalent of 54.5% of the total cases. The country with the highest number of cases was the United States, with over 512,553 cases, around 37% of the total, followed by the United Kingdom with 318,699 cases, equivalent to 23% and Spain with 15%.

On April 22, 2021, it reached the mark of 902.6 thousand and the record was broken twice more in the same month with 904.4 thousand cases on April 23 and 905.8 thousand cases on April 28.
