Verallia, the third largest global producer of glass packaging for food and beverages, donated basic baskets to entities in Campo Bom, where one of its factories is located.
“Part of Verallia’s values is respect for people, the law and the environment. Knowing that we are collaborating with the Campo Bom community, both economically and humanly, certainly makes us see that we are on the right path. In addition to expanding the factory with an investment of 80 million euros, which will more than double the plant’s production capacity, the expansion will generate jobs in the region”, says Ivair Jordão, manager of Verallia de Campo Bom.
1,000 food baskets were delivered to institutions in Campo Bom. Verallia’s goal is to support local communities through supplies, in addition to encouraging recycling, reinforcing the importance of glass collection work.
“Verallia’s purpose is to reimagine glass for a sustainable future. In this way, we understand that all people are agents for this transformation: children, families, collectors. For this last group, it is also a way of recognizing the intense and constant work of collecting shards, even during the pandemic”, says Quintin Testa, director of Verallia in South America.
