Capão da Canoa is organizing another New Year’s Eve event with many attractions for tourists and locals. This year, in addition to the traditional New Year’s Eve show on the 31st, there will be pre-New Year’s Eve shows on the 30th of December, at Largo do Baronda, by the sea. The expectation is to bring together 1 million people in the city and resume the party in the sands of Capone, after the long period of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On December 30th, Friday, from 8 pm, the pre-New Year’s Eve shows will be held, with Grupo Relax, Bernardo Fortes and Claus e Vanessa, at Largo do Baronda. On December 31st, New Year’s Eve Saturday, from 10 pm, there will be a presentation by DJ JIPP, fireworks (17 minutes) and a national show with the country duo Guilherme & Benuto.
The districts will also have a special New Year’s Eve program. On December 31, Capão Novo will have a show with Janinho Mazotti, starting at 10 pm, in Redondão. In Curumim, the party will include a show by Bernardo Fortes, also starting at 10 pm, at Centrinho (next to Kadu Lanches).
According to the Secretary of Tourism and Economic Development, Marcelo Ramos, this year the expectation is to receive 1 million visitors in Capão da Canoa. “We are organizing a beautiful party in the Center and also in the districts for our residents and tourists. With the resumption of face-to-face events, it will be a very busy season on the beaches of Rio Grande do Sul”, he says.
For the mayor of Capão da Canoa, Amauri Magnus Germano, the traditional New Year’s Eve party was one of the most awaited festivities by the population and visitors. “We know that during the vacation period people choose beach cities and seek entertainment, even more so after the entire pandemic period we are experiencing. We are very happy to be back to performing the traditional New Year’s Eve show together with the fireworks display on our seaside”, he reports.
