More than 1.6 million people who have not yet received booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in Chile will have mobility restrictions if they do not receive it by January 1st.
The announcement was made this Monday (27) by the country’s Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, at a press conference.
“Today, there are 1,627,165 people who would have their Mobility Passport disabled from January 1st, as they have not received their booster dose for more than six months since the second dose,” said the incumbent.
The document is a government credential, which allows it to be present at events with a greater number of people, as well as guaranteeing service inside bars and restaurants.
Chile has one of the most successful vaccination campaigns in the world, with more than 10.1 million booster doses applied, and 91.9% of the target population already has the full immunization scheme, with two doses or one.
