The Rio Grande do Sul Opera Company joins Theatro São Pedro this Saturday (8), starting at 3pm, at the Mostra Sol do Sul event, with the concert CORS canta por RS – Vozes em Solidariedade”. The program has free entry, through the donation of hygiene and cleaning products to those affected by the floods.
The program is composed of arias, duets, trios and large vocal formations of iconic compositions by Bizet, Delibes, Mozart, Puccini, Strauss and Villa-Lobos, in the voices of sopranos Deizi Nacimento, Fiama de Vite, Gabriela Jucá, Gaia Schenini, Paula Schwartz, Raquel Flores and Rosimari Oliveira, mezzosopranos Luciane Bottona and Rose Carvalho, tenors Adolfo Amaral, Felipe Bertol, Flávio Leite and Roger Scarton, baritone Alex Barbosa and bass baritone Guilherme Roman. Everyone will be accompanied by pianist Eduardo Knob.
CORS members directly affected by the floods will be part of the solidarity program at this important moment of rebuilding the State and resuming cultural activities in Rio Grande do Sul, such as Knob, who lives in Sarandi, one of the neighborhoods most affected by the waters, and which has not yet managed to return home.
