Pelotas promotes this Thursday (6) and Friday (7), in the 6th district, Santa Silvana, the Pies and Sweets course. The specialization is a partnership between the city hall and the National Rural Learning Service (Senar), promoting training courses in the rural area of Pelotas. Twelve local residents – maximum number per class – are registered. The classes, free of charge, will be in the Community Santa Silvana 1 hall.
“The courses offered by Senar are free and have made a big difference in the lives of many residents of our rural area, training them to prepare products or provide services that can be used as an alternative income for families. The courses on the annual schedule are diverse, involving various areas. The City Hall and Senar partnership has been renewed for years, to the benefit of a large number of families in our districts”, comments the Secretary of Rural Development, Romualdo Cunha Júnior.
The Pies and Sweets course, with practical and theoretical content, will be taught by Senar instructor, Márcia Centeno. The next training sessions, with dates and locations defined, are awaiting confirmation. To participate, interested parties must contact the Family Farming Support Sector, at the Rural Development Secretariat, at Rua Bernardo Pires, 192, from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 2 pm.
