Due to the public calamity situation experienced by Rio Grande do Sul, ExpoBrangus 2024 will be postponed. The fair, which would take place from May 21st to 23rd in Uruguaiana (RS), will be held from June 25th to 27th in the municipality’s Parque do Sindicato Rural. President of the Brazilian Association of Brangus (ABB), Cacaio Osório, highlights that, together with the Núcleo Brangus Sul, the entity expresses solidarity with the countless people who lost their homes and, some, even their lives.
“RS is going through a critical moment. It is up to us to mobilize to help these families in some way”, points out the leader. Brangus started a fundraising campaign on Friday (3/5) in conjunction with the Instituto Desenvolvimento Pecuária. The amount raised will be converted into donations that will be made directly to people in the cities most affected by the rains.
According to the president of Núcleo Brangus Sul, Gabriel Barros, another factor that impacted the decision to transfer the exhibition was the state of RS’s roads, many affected by excessive rain. “In addition to the fact that we are going through a very sad time for our State, logistics have become difficult, many roads are closed and it will take time for repairs,” he says. The program will continue including trials of rustic and hoop animals, Brangus Radar with Asadito and Brangus Collection 2024 Auction. The times and days will be announced soon.
With the change, creators who have already registered will only need to validate their registration. Those who have not yet registered can do so on the association’s website (www.brangus.org.br/expobrangus). Registration for ring and individual animals will cost R$ 150/per specimen and rustic registrations will cost R$ 300/per trio.
