The University of Caxias do Sul – UCS – announced that classes will continue synchronously online until Saturday, May 11th. Given the public calamity situation faced by Rio Grande do Sul, due to the weather events of recent days, the measure aims to guarantee the integrity of students, teachers, staff and the community, avoiding travel that could put safety at risk. The definition applies to the Headquarters Campus and the UCS campuses in the region.
During this time, assessments will be canceled or transferred. If assessments need to be maintained, they must be carried out online with the opportunity to make up for students who are absent and provide a reason. The aim is not to cause harm to students who are experiencing situations resulting from the calamity. Practical classes can be recovered later.
