The Blood Bank at the Hospital de Pronto Socorro (HPS), in Porto Alegre, will be open this Saturday, 27th, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, to receive donations. The idea is to join the Corrente sob Pressão campaign, promoted across the country by TV Globo. The sector operates on the second floor of the hospital, at Largo Teodoro Herzl, s/nº, Bom Fim.
Anyone who prefers to make a donation during the regular opening hours, from Monday to Friday, should preferably make an appointment in advance by calling 51 3289-7658 (WhatsApp). Opening hours are from 8am to 12pm. After collection, each component is rigorously tested.
Check the conditions for donating blood:
– Be in good health.
– Weigh more than 50 kilos.
– Be between 16 and 69 years of age (under 18 requires authorization from a guardian).
– Have slept at least six hours in the last 24 hours.
– Respect the minimum interval between donations (two months for men and three months for women).
– Do not have clinical or laboratory evidence of blood-transmitted diseases.
– Do not use injectable illicit drugs.
– Present official document with photo.
